Rupal - I can imagine Cancun is Spring Break central! We saw a lot of information around about cheap accommodation and where to party. Playa is definitely quieter, and probably more family oriented. I am now jealous of all the things there are to do in Mexico City. You could fill every weekend for a few years with a different activity. Its always the way though, that when you live in a place you don't get out and do all the things as quickly as a tourist does.

Penny - We didn't get to Cozumel because the others had just been there (and they told us about 15 people were vomiting on the ferry over so we weren't that keen!). If we'd had a few more days I would have liked to go. I really enjoyed Tulum. Imagine how idyllic it would have been in its heyday!

Wow - it sounds like you had a lovely time. I have been to Cancun for the typical American college spring break a loooong time ago and have no desire to return there as a sober adult. But Playa del Carmen looks amazing.

I think you have seen more of Mexico City than I have as a resident. Good for you. Hope you get some well deserved rest before the next round of visitors!
