The Phillip Pullman trilogy of books (His Dark Materials) - Northern Lights (The Golden Compass in the US), The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass would have be amongst some of my favourite books. It’s funny, because I wouldn’t call myself a real sci-fi/fantasy reader, although I did enjoy reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy as well.
There’s something very intriguing about the story and they are in the select group of books that stay on my bookshelf and will be read again.
I am really looking forward to seeing the first movie, although when that will be, I don’t know. It opens in Mexico next week, but getting a babysitter is another matter… Maybe when we’re back home in February (if its still playing!)
